Zaragoza Chef & friends

Zaragoza, where the Ebro converges with its Gallego and Huerva influents, always has relied on the river’s fast-flowing waters. Celt Iberians settled the fertile valley as a fortress called Salduie, followed by Romans who knew a great shipping center when they conquered it.
One of the joys of poking around Zaragoza is its overlay of civilizations: Roman to Moorish to Jewish to Spanish Catholic. Archaeologists have discovered the forum, river port, baths and amphitheater of Caesaraugusta, the only Roman colony to be honored with the full name of its founder.
